FOLKMOOT USA celebrates their 27th year with 9 countries participating. PARADE of NATIONS: Musicians & dancers parade down Main Street on Friday, July 23 at 1pm to the County Courthouse for the Opening Ceremony. The 2010 countries include: France, Ireland, Jordan, Latvia, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Russia, and Switzerland. Performances are scheduled in several locations throughout the next week. DOG WALK for SARGE AUG 7 Fundraiser
SARGE will host its 5th Annual Downtown Dog Walk, Sat. Aug 7. The Walk will begin at the Waynesville courthouse at 10am. Registration begins at 9am. Walkers who raise the most money in sponsors will win prizes after the Dog Walk. Some walkers will form a “Team” so they can raise more money, plus it’s lots of fun!
