Mountain Heritage Trout Waters
Established in the 2007 General Assembly as a means to encourage trout fishing as a heritage tourism activity. Waynesville provides public access to trout waters - Richland Creek, which runs through the town and is currently in the NC Wildlife Resource Commission's Trout Management Program. The Waynesville Recreation Center
The Recreation Center, located at 550 Vance Street, has indoor activities such as an indoor track, indoor pool, gymnasium, weight and exercise rooms and more. Outdoor activities include soccer and softball fields, trout stream, tennis and basketball courts, a playground and a greenway multi-use trail), and a covered picnic area. The Greenway is about 5 miles in length beginning near Lake Junaluska and ending at the Waynesville Recreation Center. The trail is ADA compliant, made of rock dust, gravel, and asphalt. Enjoy the mountain views, plants, and trees native to this area. firstname.lastname@example.org
