Friends of the Smokies – Lace up your boots for the June 13 Classic Hike to Charlies Bunion. This hike is 8 miles out-and-back and ascends 1,650 ft. Earthworks Gallery is pleased to announce the addition of a new resident artist. Suzanne Gernandt, mixed media textile artist and oil painter, has a working studio and gallery space in the back section of Earthworks. Many of you will remember Suzanne as the co-owner of Textures Gallery, formerly on Main Street. She has been working the past few years in Asheville’s River Arts District and in her home studio in Waynesville. Missing direct customer interaction, Suzanne and Elisa of Earthworks came up with a plan to create the new studio and gallery space.
