HART THEATRE  on the HART Main Stage
The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe     Directed and conceived by Shelia Sumpter

This new dramatization of C.S. Lewis’ classic, set in the land of Narnia, faithfully recreates the magic & mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting, never-to-be-forgotten Narnia. The intense action features chases, duels and escapes as the witch is determined to keep Narnia in her possession and to end the reign of Aslan. All the memorable episodes from the story are represented in this exciting dramatization: the temptation of Edmund by the witch, the slaying of the evil wolf by Peter, the witnessing of Aslan’s resurrection by Susan and Lucy, the crowing of the four new rulers of Narnia, and more. The supporting characters are also here: the unicorn, the centaur and other forest animals, along with Father Christmas, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver and Tumnus the Faun. This story of love, faith, courage and giving, with its triumph of good over evil, is a true celebration of life.    Adult Tickets $10; Students $5 (plus tax)

ANIMAL HOSPITAL OF WAYNESVILLE   “Paws For Cause” We have recently launched a new program called Paws for Cause (http://animalhosp.com/paws-for-a-cause/).  For every Paw Plan that we enroll, $5 is donated to the Paws for Cause program. Once we have enough for a Paw Plan, a pet from the local animal shelter is chosen to receive the Paw Plan.  This covers their first year for all of their preventative care needs (exams, vaccines, blood work, intestinal parasite exams, and deworming).  We are so excited to be able to donate our first plan to Penny. Penny was dropped off at the shelter one night in their side pen, emaciated, full of worms and very anemic (low red blood cells from all the parasites). With treatment and supportive care from the vet and love from the shelter workers, Penny is ready to find her forever home. Penny comes with a Paw Plan when she gets adopted, providing her all the preventative care she will need for her first year (http://animalhosp.com/paw-plans/). We hope this will help this sweet girl find her forever home! Bobby, the 2nd recipient, is an orange Manx and like Penny he is also waiting for his forever home too! If you are interested, please stop by the shelter and visit this sweet girl and boy. Teak, Tamarind, Java and Borneo Rosewood from the island of Java.  Lychee, Ironwood, and Ulin from Kalimantan.  A broad brush of wooden concepts such as cabinets, coffee tables, console and end tables, day beds and much more.  All usually found in Indonesian homes, and now available here.  We have also worked hard at finding home accents that utilize rattan, palm, bamboo and native grasses for lamps, baskets, trays, bowls and a virtual potpourri of things for the kitchen.  All at a value that make an inexpensive gift for your best friend who has everything.  Also, check out our jewelry, batiks, silk scarfs, wall fabric, pottery and leather goods.  All hand crafted and will last almost forever.  Come see us at 172 North Main.  We are excited to see you.  Jeanie and Tim McBride
